Our purpose. Our people. Our organization.
Connection begins
with understanding.
International Interpreters Consortium is a Washington nonprofit focused on language access and the professionals who make it possible.
Our mission
Helping people be heard.
Across languages.
To connect people with professional interpretation and translation when language is a barrier to essential services, and to support the language professionals who make that connection possible.
We focus on people with limited English proficiency and the organizations that serve them. Interpretation supports spoken conversations; translation makes written information accessible across languages.
Our work brings together community needs, professional skills and thoughtful coordination. We aim to build opportunities for language professionals through fair compensation and professional development, while developing assistance for community language-access needs.
